Anne Frost

i started to attend classes at s2c8 because i need to keep fit to look after my son who is handicapped and my husband  who is not in good health. i have attended kettle bell classes and circuit training on a monday morning, i have lost weight and toned up, and now have a lot more stamina. as i feel so much better i intend to keep up with my classes, i must add i think i am probably the oldest member attending at nearly 72yrs old but this is not a problem as we are trained to our own abilities and really enjoy it

I joined S2C8 around a year ago after it was highly recommended to me by a friend.  Having achieved a black belt in kick-boxing, I was keen to learn a new discipline in martial arts.  I hadn’t heard of the Keysi  Fighting Method previously and was curious to give it a try.  I found the concept interesting, focusing more on natural instinctive defence and strikes.  The academy itself had a very welcoming feel to it and I was certainly put at ease, by not only the instructors but the other members.

I have also taken part in the Kettlebell classes and Fight Fit, both are excellent for toning up and certainly provide a great workout.

I attend S2C8 on a weekly basis and I find it is a fantastic way to reduce any stress that may have built up from working in a pressurised environment.

Simon Fell is clearly passionate about his role within the academy and it comes across in his teaching.

Matt Frost is extremely encouraging and it is obvious that he wants each individual to achieve their goals and to constantly improve their skills and knowledge.

S2C8 offer a variety of different classes and Matt himself encouraged me to try any that appealed to me (free of charge) before deciding to become a member.  It was his non-pushy, professional approach, to promoting his academy which led me to join up.  I now feel like part of the team and haven’t looked back since.

After having my third baby, I needed to get back in to shape and my usual running sessions just weren’t doing it any more. It was suggested to me to try kettlebell at s2c8.

I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive as I knew it was a martial arts academy and thought it would be full of sweaty men .

But what I found was a club which is a little oasis of calm in a hectic world and Matt and Simon’s kettle bell sessions are fantastic. The other students are really friendly and there is a really good buzz in the classes.

Kettlebell has not only made me stronger and fitter but also more flexible.

Before I started I used to  get  regular back ache from my job as a dental hygienist but now I hardly ever have a bad back.

The only problem I have noticed is that I just want to go to more sessions!

Thanks to the s2c8 team.

“Recently come to realise more and more that if I hadn’t found the S2C8 Academy and had that to look forward too and work on every week; with the great team there. That I probably would have lost a lot faith in the direction of life and society, especially peoples motivations. Nice to have something that feels genuine in my life in these times when so many things are superficial and self-serving.”

As a fairly young bloke, i noticed my weight had gotten out of control, i was just under 22 stone and only stood 5′ 10″ tall, i decided i needed to do something about it but didn’t know what.

it was a chance encounter with s2c8 coach Simon that i found out about KFM and decided to give it a try, this was august 2010. roll on ten months and I’m still studying KFM, and also partake in one kettle bell session a week. in this time head coach Matt Frost has helped me a great deal, with dietary advice and lifestyle advice.

I now weigh less than 19 stone. i have lost over 3 stone in under a year doing 3 sessions a week at the s2c8 academy. my experience has been nothing short of brilliant, getting fit and healthy whilst having a great deal of fun at the same time, surrounded by great people.

If you want to lose weight whilst learning something worthwhile and practical come down to the academy, it can literally change your life

Over the past four years, I have had the great privilege of learning The Keysi Fighting Method directly from top practitioners in the United Kingdom. I can say without hesitation that National  Ambassador  Matt Frost offers an intense, instinctive and exciting path of understanding that is the unique system of KFM. I believe there are two basic reasons for this.

First, Mr. Frost emphasizes instinctive principles and personal growth over the dogmatic collection of technique that permeates the martial arts world today. Most people who seek out the martial arts are primarily interested in how to effectively protect themselves and their loved ones. Through the predatory drills that are essential to KFM, Mr. Frost bonds technique to instinct to truly allow your training to work in a Self Defence situation.

Secondly, Mr. Frost works diligently to provide an atmosphere of cohesion between other students. This atmosphere allows for the group of individuals to push their training a step further then most. You are pushed just as hard by other students as you are by the S2C8  instructors. By having this competition and cohesion you truly build a deep desire to train and learn from the other students as well as the instructors. This alone puts him light years ahead of other Martial Arts instructors .

I have lived in Lincolnshire for four years while stationed in the military. I have trained in the Modern Army Combatives Program. The Marine Corp L.I.N.E. Training and various other military and LEO programs on offer to the U.S. Military. The Keysi Fighting Method hands down has been the best I have ever trained in. Matt Frost and his S2C8 instuctors  are some of the best Martial Arts instructors I have ever trained with, and that is to include the military also. With out a doubt you will get your moneys worth.

Mark Lloyd – Managing Director.

As the MD of a large office based in Lincoln with 100 or so staff, that’s part of a well known global company, I found myself looking for an outlet for the long days of pressure. This work situation resulted in me becoming stressed and unable to relax. I searched for something that would help me with weight loss, fitness and stress relief, Keysi Fighting Method ‘KFM’ appeared to have the intensity and close quarter work that I would favour. I speak in the past tense because for the last year and a half I have been attending KFM classes in Lincoln under Matt Frost, one of the KFM worldwide top team members and a British Ambassador.

Mark Lloyd

Well, where to begin, it’s been an amazing journey so far. Being senior in my work role I am always looking for anything I do or any club I join to have good structure in its teaching and progression with a great team spirit. The essence of ‘team’ is paramount in any learning environment because the ability to give and receive support from other team members whilst not feeling stupid or excluded is important, incredibly important. A group of people in the same place does not make a team, when each member feels accountability for the whole group and for each other individually, you have a team.

Now, I have met many leaders in business, and key ingredients are to have charisma, connection and good communication, these attributes should be ‘glued’ together with a thirst for knowledge, and drive. In Matt Frost I see and feel all these things, he has a total understanding of what it takes to achieve goals in the areas that he commands and studies. I am a man that is sometimes hard to please and pretty expectant in what I learn from people, but I can say hand on heart I am proud to train under Matt and call him my friend.

In recent months Matt has opened the S2C8 martial arts academy in Lincoln, and this just adds strength to the whole team, training routine and vibe that is perpetuated at every session. I served 12 years in the military so I understand what’s makes a ‘team’, I have an MBA, so I understand ‘management of people’, and I run a large company office, so I understand ‘organisation and structure’. In Matt Frost and S2C8 I see all these things are very much present, and working.

If you want to train hard, achieve your fitness goals, and be part of a cool team, oh, and lets not forget have some great fun! Then Matt Frost and S2C8 will make that happen, have no doubt.
